Albert Marsh Funeral Directors have been helping and supporting families in Wareham, Poole and the Isle of Purbeck through their bereavement since 1835.

Alfred Marsh my great great Uncle started our funeral business in 1835 originally in Mill Lane, Wareham. His son Albert Marsh continued the business until my grandfather Bert Stretch took over until he died in 1956. My father Michael then continued running the company. In 1984 the business moved to its purpose built location in St Michaels Road.

I, Jonathan Stretch joined the company in 1979. We extended our facilities to Upton in 1995.

We are one of the oldest established family funeral directors on the South Coast. As members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, we are bound by their Code of Practice in consultation with the Office of Fair Trading. Copies are available, free of charge, from our office. We are also members of the National Association of Monumental Masons (NAMM).
