About the role

We are looking for a creative and data-savvy Digital Marketing & Community Officer to join Douch Family Funeral Directors in a varied and meaningful role.

You will help shape and grow our digital presence while strengthening our connection with local communities across Dorset. You will manage our social media platforms, create thoughtful and engaging digital content, support communications, monitor campaign performance and represent the company at local events.

This role would suit someone with a strong interest in digital storytelling, social media, analytics and community engagement.

What you will be doing

  • Managing and growing our social media platforms
  • Creating and publishing engaging digital content
  • Supporting internal and external communications
  • Monitoring performance metrics and using insights to improve campaigns
  • Representing Douch Family Funeral Directors at community events
  • Building local relationships across Dorset
  • Helping to shape and evolve our digital marketing strategy

Skills and experience we are looking for

  • A creative thinker with a passion for digital storytelling
  • Confidence managing social media and digital content
  • Comfortable using analytics and performance data
  • A confident communicator online and face-to-face
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects
  • Proactive, curious and willing to test new ideas
  • Interested in community engagement and local partnerships

Salary, hours and benefits

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week.

Salary: £29,500–£33,000 per year, dependent on experience.

The role is based at our Head Office in Wimborne, Dorset, and working across our branch locations. Douch Family Funeral Directors serves communities across Dorset, including Wimborne, Ferndown, Parkstone, Blandford, Corfe Mullen, Wareham and Swanage.
