We are seeking a caring, reliable, and professional Out of Hours Funeral Operative covering the Purbeck area to join our dedicated team at Douch Family Funeral Directors.

We’re now looking for someone who shares these values and wants to provide vital out-of-hours support to families during their most difficult moments.

Key Responsibilities
As an Out of Hours Funeral Operative (Purbeck area), you will:

Respond promptly to out-of-hours calls, coordinating the respectful transfer of loved ones from homes, care facilities, and hospitals into our care.

Be the first point of contact for families, care homes, hospitals, and the Coroner’s Office.

Represent Douch Family Funeral Directors with empathy, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
About the Role

Regular shift pattern covering Monday to Friday, 5pm – 8am

Weekend shifts, including Bank Holidays, are covered on a rotational basis from 5pm Friday to 8am Monday

Full UK driving licence essential

All training provided – no prior funeral service experience required
