What a man you were, my Dad
All the things that you did, my Dad
Throughout your life, the list is so long,
An incredible man, my Dad.

You drew with a pencil, my Dad
You created great visions, my Dad
From sketches and plans your designs became real,
A fine artist and architect, my Dad.

You worked with tools, my Dad
Made amazing things, my Dad
We ate off your table and sat on your chairs,
A fine craftsman you were, my Dad.

You loved the sea, my Dad
Whether boating or fishing, my Dad
And binoculars were a part of your kit,
A true seaman at heart, my Dad.

A clarinet player, my Dad
You loved your music, my Dad
A passion for playing in groups and in shows,
A fine musician, my Dad.

A sense of humour, my Dad
A hard worker, my Dad
Enthusiastic, a perfectionist,
An amazing man, my Dad.
