  1. The first time I met Angie and Roland is when we visited Christchurch thirty years ago with a view to moving here. They and their two tiny children opened their home to us and our tiny children and gave us lunch. Angela has been a lovely, kind, thoughtful, encouraging friend over the years, the world has lost an amazing woman. My heart goes out to Roland, Jonathan, Amy, Daniel and Hannah as you grieve your lovely wife and mum. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  2. We first came in contact at church. I remember well Angie and I were calling on various people around Iford evangelising. . We were greeted by a grieving single lady who had just been told she had terminal cancer. She was estranged from her children. In this meeting this lady received Jesus. 3 weeks later she died. Oh Gods perfect timing.
Bless all who knew Angie who always together with Roland made me welcome. I remember too the evenings we became prayer warriors as a small group of believers.

  3. I only knew you during our years at senior school, but you left a lasting impression.

You were popular and always kind and thoughtful. You were an inspiration to others and always helpful. The world is a sadder place with your passing.

I hope you are in peace with your past family and friends and are looking down on your loved ones with joy in your heart with all that you had achieved in your short life.

  5. Roland and Angela were the first real friends I had in the country where God had led me to call home. During the years when I was trying to implement my business, the conversations with Roland and Angela were always very informative and inspiring, and helped me a lot. My family and I are very saddened by Angela’s departure, but we understand that God is good and He knows all things. I think there’s a Party in Heaven with Angela’s arrival! May God bless the whole family, giving each one peace in heart and mind.

May this God’s promise be experienced by you in this season and beyond.

“who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

  8. I will never forget how welcomed Angela made me feel from the first time I met her. I didn’t know anyone in a completely new country and, from the very beginning, she made me feel like home – I’ve got lovely memories of making pancakes and baking in her kitchen with her, Amy and Hannah; the amazing dinners and barbecues at her home; the charity event for Macmillan, and many more. I will always be grateful to Angela for having introduced me to Amy, now a great friend and part of my British family. I will always remember the kind way Angela treated everyone and the warmth of her laughter, as well as all the love and hospitality I received from the whole Gilbert family.
