  3. As most of our family and friends are aware, our dear Mum, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Barbara Sharman, sadly passed away on Tuesday 9th February.

On this Remembrance page, you can make a donation to either of the two charities that provided volunteer support for Mum and that she held very dear.

The Cinnamon Trust helped Mum greatly by providing volunteer dog walkers when she was unable to take her lovely dog, Katie out for walks. They provided much needed long walks for Katie through the Avon Country Park for many months and gave Mum much needed support by often stopping for cups of tea, which was of great comfort to Mum.

The other charity is Ringwood Good Neighbours. For the last couple of years, Mum regularly received visits from two or three volunteers, who would call in weekly to Mum and share a cuppa and a natter with her. Sadly, these visits had to stop when COVID set in, but they continued to be in touch with Mum by regularly ringing her to share a laugh and have a catch up. Without these visits, Mum would have felt so cut off from outside life, other than the regular visits by her family.

On behalf of Mum, we thank you for any donation you are able to make. We know Mum would have been so grateful, as we are.

Mum will be in our hearts always and our love for her will never fade.

Shine bright and fly free Barbara, forever.

  5. My Mum
I can’t believe I won’t see your face again , or hear your voice . I know you’ll be with me always . I didn’t give you enough of my time recently , but you knew I was busy working , right ? And I was always there with a torch and tweezers for your chin hairs when needed – no one saw them anyway ! I will always remember to stand by your “two week” rule , and I will make sure I put some face on and don’t get “puddingy “ . Sleep tight my strong , independent Mum. I love you and miss you! Go and find Katie, and Lucy xx
