Messages of condolence

  1. Fond memories from Joyce Wintle. Betty was a kind friend and excellent cook. Sincere sympathies to her family.

  2. Betty was a very kind and dear friend for many years, now sadly missed.

  3. Sending love and best wishes to Betty’s family. She was a kind and special friend, gifting jars of homemade marmalade, sharing her magazine subscriptions, helping with lifts to appointments and being always so kind to everyone. Everyone will miss her so much.

    Maxine and Robin
  4. Betty was a very special friend and a very special friend who always thought of others first. She did a lot for charity making endless dresses and shorts to send to Africa but also gave to many charities. I wish she were still with us because we have lost someone that was extraordinarily kind, loving and giving. My thoughts are that she surely has earned her place in heaven and I hope she is now out of pain and surrounded by love. Sincere sympathies to her family you have lost someone so special. Love Suzanne and Steve xxxx

  5. Betty was a very special person and friend who always thought of others first. She did a lot for charity making endless dresses and shorts to send to Africa, knitting for angel babies, making knitted policemen for the local force, baking for the WI to raise money for charity and to keep our WI going by baking cakes, jams and marmalade. Betty also gave to many charities on a regular basis. She always thought about others first.

  6. Betty was the ultimate professional; in all my years of teaching I never met anyone to compare. Kind, supportive and always willing to embrace new ideas, she was admired by all her colleagues. She was also greatly admired by all the children she taught who found her to be an inspiring and caring teacher. She will be greatly missed.

  9. So sorry we didn’t have more time with Betty. She made us so welcome to Maple Close with her kindness and concern and made such a big impact in a short time.
