Remembering Cecilie with great fondness and many happy memories, the majority of which were filled with laughter . What a lovely legacy, to bring a smile to someone when they think of you.
Steve and I were fortunate enough to visit Cecilie and Stuart on her last day. We reminisced about the first time we met in 1978, when she and Michelle came to Vancouver. Uncle John drove us in his beautiful Buick convertible to the interior of BC where we visited Auntie Pat, Uncle Cecil and Brian. Then on to Trail to visit my Gran. The next visit was 44 years ago when Steve and I rode mopeds from Bristol to Nottingham to visit Cecilie, Karen and Michelle. Another great time. I thanked Ceciyfor her annual “Render Ramblings” which were always entertaining and filled us in on what the UK side of the family was doing. It was very much appreciated and Cecilie provided regular contact. She was always full of fun and will be missed. Xoxo
We enjoyed our visits with Cecilie sooo much! She was always such a happy person and so kind to our daughters when they visited her family in England. We will miss you Cecilie xxxxx
I worked alongside Cecilie for over seven years, for Nottinghamshire County Council Leisure Services. She was interested in everything and everybody; Cecilie gave her all – to her work and to her colleagues and friends. We were pen-pals since she moved to Blandford Forum to when she wrote her last ‘Render Snippets’ at Christmas 2024.
I feel blessed and privileged to have known Cecilie, and I thank her for so many fond and fun-filled memories. May she rest in peace.
Sending all our love and support from your Aussie Family.
Cecilie and the rest of her family welcomed me with open arms over 20 years ago when I visited the UK.
I have fond memories of Cecilie and I pouring over our family tree with a cuppa and Jaffa biscuits.
She inspired me with her love for travel and going to new places and was always on the go.
She was an absolute joy to be around and loved life to the fullest.
Lots of love to Michelle, Karen, Stu and the whole family xxxxx
