Meeting Chris has enabled me to realise that actually ‘being like Jesus’ is more possible than I may have previously understood!
Condolences and encouragements to her family and friends.
What a wonderful woman – an inspiration to me and many others of a life well lived, rooted always in Jesus
It has been an absolute priviledge to know Chris , any meeting with her you always went away encouraged and touched by her faith in God and her grace. She is with the Lord she knows and loves well , so will be praying especially for her family who will just downright miss her
It was a honour for me to meet Chris.
We had a wonderful time at Westcliff Baptist Church in 1989. She was a very good friend to me and held contact since. I will miss her but I am sure she is with God and doesn’t has to suffer anymore.
May God console her family.
Chris was a friend from many years ago – and it was very moving in today’s service to hear the family stories of how great a mum and husband she became; what a friend she was to others; and how strongly her trust in Jesus grew and blossomed.
I give thanks for the life of this special person, and praise God for the blessing of having known her friendship.
Evie and I are very sorry for your loss. Chris will always be remembered by us as a brilliant, thoughtful and kind person. May she rest in peace.
What a wonderful lady Chris was! I will always remember and be grateful for her sensitivity, care, kindness, grace, gentleness and unwavering faith.
Apologies for my error – I meant to say “how great a mum and wife she became”
Chris was a lovely friend; a wonderfully caring, gracious and hospitable daughter of God. I will miss her.
My love to all her family.

I watched your Mum’s service today and it was both beautiful and inspiring to hear the words and memories from you all and of her absolute faith and unconditional love of both life and people.
Sending you all much love and prayers over the coming weeks.
We just can’t wrap our heads around the fact that Christine is gone as well as Brian. We have lost two of our dearest friends in the UK in such a short period of time. We always loved our visits to England to see them and catch up as well as their trips to the US to work or visit during Barclays days.
We will miss them dearly but hang onto the fond memories of our times together.
With love and hugs to the family- Deborah, Mark, Sara, Gemma, and Edward.
chris was a really special friend who I had known over 25 years. Her Christian Faith and her family were paramount in her life. She was very hospitable and often had people over to her house who had few friends and Chris and Brian were very loving and caring of them. I spent many happy times, walking, having coffee, enjoying meals and staying overnight in her house over many years, even staying in her house after I moved to Cornwall, when family were on holiday. She is now with her beloved Lord Jesus and we are left to mourn our loss which is not easy.
Remembering Chris
Alan and Lesley
I was fortunate to have visited Chris just before she died along with other friends. We had known each other for over 50 years. She showed amazing courage and selflessness to the end.
In memory of a special friend.
