I am so very sorry for your loss, Vanessa. He was a funny, very kind and sensitive man and I liked him very much.
I know you will all miss him terribly. In your sadness remember all the happy times and that he is safe and whole again now.
Thinking of you with love.
I remember Colin as a man who could fix anything and was always willing to help out. He very patiently helped me come to terms with having a microwave in my life despite my irrational conviction that it could never work! Our working environment at school would never have been as pleasant and ordered as it was without his tireless efforts to sort out all the ‘handyman’ jobs that needed doing – he was a quiet, self-effacing but solid presence wherever he turned up. Condolences to Vanessa and family….
My thoughts are with you and your family Vanessa. I am so sorry for your loss, words cannot express how sad I am for you.
Colin, a friend since childhood in Raunds. A thoughtful, kind and caring man. My thoughts are with Vanessa and family. He will be sadly missed.R I P Colin.
Thinking of you Abi and sending love to you and your family.
When we moved into Badger Lane back in April 2013, we were welcomed into one of the most kindest, caring family of neighbours we’ve ever known. Colin always had time for us, to stop and chat, whatever he was doing. And he was always doing something! Tinkering in his garage, fixing something on the house, mowing the lawn or walking the dog! Sollie had many a fun run around with Stitch and later Aska! If you ever had a problem, Colin could fix it! He had every tool you can think of! He sanded down the wooden log we wanted to use as our wedding cake stand. He had a good old dance at our wedding reception (once his request for some good old 60s tunes came on!) He always asked after Pepper when I was pregnant, who later became Quinn! He enjoyed sharing stories of bringing up Hannah and Abi, who he adored. Empathising with our adjustment to parenthood but reminding us how precious it is too. I even got to ride in Colin’s MG! He kindly took me to Milton Abbas swimming pool where Colin was a lifeguard for a free trial swimming session! The drive was much more fun than the swim obviously! Our Badger Lane family won’t be the same without him, but he will always remain part of it in our hearts and minds and will never be forgotten. Our love and thoughts go to his Vanessa, Abi, Hannah, Aska and Martha xXx
Sincere condolences to Vanessa and family.
We send you our support and love at this very sad time.
Deepest condolences Vanessa; I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time.
Dearest Vanessa, Hanna & Abi, So sorry for your loss. I will miss my dear friend Colin so very much. A kinder gentler man doesn’t exist. Always ready for a lovely, long & rambling chat. The best sort. Often reminiscing about all the good times we’ve had. A great help and support to everyone and especially our little community of Badger Lane. Very sadly missed.
