It’s been an honour to have known you despite your jokes. Rest in peace my friend.
We send our sympathy. Dave was a very good friend and we will miss him.
sorry for the loss of Dave. will be sadly missed by a lot of people. will never forget him giving our first daughter laura small boxes of smarties and chasing her up the garden.although that was 19 years ago it will allways remind us as time goes on ..
Dave was my landlord at the yard in St. Leonards. He was very kind and accommodating when I first met up with Dave in St. Leonards yard. He was always interested in my company and the progress that followed. He was always joking and always made me laugh!
He also undertook the famous trick when myself and my brother visited his house once – I do believe we were the only people ever to solve the trick! lol!!!
Great memories Dave and will always be respected and remembered…
Thanks Dave for being a friend to so many of us who will always remember you, you were a true legend in your own lifetime which made the world a better place for so many..
I’m so pleased that Dave and I crossed paths around twenty years meting as the consummate machine mover with so many talents. Dave and the Boys were an experience, a joy to behold, when it came to moving Travelling Ovens. 60 feet in length and tons of metal, and very fragile when moved. Travelling ovens are a part of everyone’s life when we all buy our bread from the local supermarket and so vital to all of us.
My bonus to meeting you Dave was then an introduction to a lively sincere family who all came as a real free gift.
Work can be routine but when you were on site the factory always lit up, Dave a man who knew where the cakes were kept and knew all the best people when extra help was required.
Thanks for all my memories Dave and to you all.
RIP David Guppy
