“That’s fete that is” David shouted out the window of his car that he was driving us in as we passed a sign advertising a coming Worcestershire village fete. Pretty much sums him up tbh. I’ve never met a man more amused by his own wonderful jokes than him and It was infectious. He was always calm, always happy & he loved his family very much. Rest in peace Dave you will be immensely missed by those that loved you.
We will all miss his corny jokes particularly at a critical point in a game of dominoes.
As our chairman he brought enthusiasm and many laughs to the table.
Dave fought the evil of Parkinson’s with dignity and even humour.
May he rest in peace and freedom from pain.
Our condolences to Carol, Rich and Rob all of whom gave him comfort in his final years.
