I have very fond and happy memories of David and you all at Stamford Brook Avenue.
With a full house getting through on the phone was often a challenge but David always passed on my messages to Sophie & we were both amused when it turned out that our fathers had been having their own side correspondence on matters intellectual, literary and political!
David lived a long and productive life and I feel honoured to have spent some of my formative years with him and all the family.
Sending love and condolences to Sophie, Emma, Mark and Julian, and all the extended family.

Dearest Sophie, Emma, Mark and Julian (and David’s extended family and loved ones).
I have fond memories of David who I met on many occasions, the first being in Stamford Brook when I visited Sophie who had broken her leg and then later years in Bournemouth and Swanage. I will always remember David as being a very warm and sensitive person who always took great interest in people. At one point in the early 90s we tried to hook my mother up with David, but alas Sophie and I were never destined to be step sisters, just soul sisters 🙂
I know that David is now at peace and my condolences are with his loved ones that are left behind.
Sending love to all of you <3

It has been my privilege to have known David, my cousin-in-law. I shall always remember his smile, his humour, his paintings and his lovely Christmas Cards. May he rest in peace.
