I know that Sam/David will be sadly missed by all people who knew him and especially those very close who realised what a treasure he was; his sincerity, depth of understanding and knowledge and especially his uniqueness in a world of conformity will never be forgotten. Such treasures do not come in multiples.
I remember being taught by Mr Langford at Northcliffe School, Southampton “way back when” in 1983. He was a giant among them in my eyes, and really helped me settle into boarding school; it was my first time away.
