  13. What a sad day for Swanage and everybody who was lucky enough to know Derek.
We worked together for a short time over 20 years ago but never once since then did Derek pass me in the street without giving a friendly wave and a quick hello, sometimes I was lucky enough to stop and have a chat.
The sun shone for Derek today but Swanage is a sad place tonight.
