My family will always remember you as the life and soul of the party. You shone up a room with your presence. I will never forget you dancing the night away at our wedding and everyone commented on how awesome you were. You were kind and welcoming and although I was a step niece – it never felt like that. You always made me and my family feel as wanted and as part of the family as your own. We will miss you very much. X
Uncle Eric, There are times that it’s hard to put in to words how we feel and this is definitely one of those times. There are so many great memories of family times of Christmas’, Barbecues, Weddings and Birthdays to name but a few. Your boundless energy shone through and showed how much love you had for your family and how much you enjoyed everyone being together at all of these celebrations. You were an amazing Uncle and we will all miss you so much.
A lovely brother-in-law, Eric was always interesting and amusing to talk to. A true family man – kind, generous and welcoming to the whole extended family. So many good memories. He will be greatly missed. xx

Eric, the time spent with you and family in England was always truly wonderful and you were always available for some great moments! I know my dad appreciated all the skype calls and would always be running home to make sure he didn’t miss it! Thank you for all of that as I’m not sure dad could ever figure out how to call you 🙂

RIP Eric, a much loved family member. A very talented and clever man who overcame a heat attack at a very early age. Always willing to help and a great source of support to Mum and Dad when they become frail. Most of all I will remember you for your kindness.

I have so many happy memories of our family holidays in the sun, relaxing with a cold beer and listening to tales from your national service days. Whenever I was out hiking down by the coast at Lulworth I would often glance down at the boats below and wonder if you were out on the water for the day. I imagine that’s where you are now, but maybe I’ll just have to look up instead of down. We’re all going to miss you loads, a top bloke who I was proud to call my father in law x
Eric, my dear brother-in-law, thank you for so many memories to hold from all those years. You were a very special man, devoted to your family and so kind, caring and generous to all. Missed beyond measure. Rest peacefully.
I first met Eric at school aged 13/ 14.
I’m now 87. On Eric’s birthday June 8 1962 (on what appears to be a blind date) I first met Chris and the four of us went for drinks at Southampton pub in Surbiton.
2024 will see us celebrate 61 years married thanks to Ann and Eric. The rest is history.

A very sad loss of a lovely, kind and funny gentleman.
Along with Anne, Eric was a great friend to my late parents, Michael and Beatrice and I will always remember his smile and great wit, particularly during hospital visits during mum’s protracted illness.
My deepest condolences to Anne and all the family.
Truly amazing man ! Who had great advice and love for all his family.
