I enjoyed many years working with Freddy in several roles in CAA/NATS and relied on her wisdom, skill and experience to navigate many tricky situations. There was always steel in that smile, mischief in her eyes and goodness in her heart where-ever she went. Freddy was always took on every challenge with energy, professionalism and great charm – she was a class-act and I was privileged to call her a colleague and a friend.
I am so sorry I can’t make it for Freddy’s funeral and will be thinking and praying for her family, friends and loved ones during this time.
Freddie was my work rock for many years both at CAA/NATS and before that at Frizzel, such a truly wonderful person and wonderful colleague to me and so many others over the years and a true friend. She taught me so much and I owe a lot to her. A rare breed, and a remarkable woman who definitely left her wonderful mark on so many she will indeed be truly missed by us all. I often look back fondly and chuckle to myself when I reminisce about our ‘professional’ road trips and excursions, any excuse for a road trip usually the CIPD conference in Harrogate back in the day and as Larry says a cheekie twinkle in her eye and such fun, but forever the consummate professional – such fond memories of my early career I will always cherish.
I will be honoured to have the opportunity to attend the service and pay my respects for which I am truly grateful. I will be thinking about her family and closest friends at this time. Prayers are with you all and my deepest condolences
Freddie, always such a glamorous and well spoken lady with a strong personality.
Your heart as a nan was always so full and I know Ju will be forever grateful for all her wonderful memories you made together on holidays and days out with her Olivia, Aliza, Gabriella and Curtis.
Rest peacefully now.
Much love Helen
Fred was an incredible woman, full of life, laughter and love. Her intelligence, sense of fun and unwavering support for those she cherished were truly remarkable qualities. She lived with grace and set an example of how to live a life of integrity, care and joy. Her greatest joy was her partner in crime and loving husband Pete, and her devotion to her family, will remain a lasting testament to her legacy. May the memories of her strength, warmth and laughter bring comfort in the days ahead. My own cherished memories of time spent with Fred during holidays in the UK and Australia, will always hold a special place in my heart. The joy we shared , particularly over our mutual love of dogs and a good glass (or two) of wine, will continue to bring me comfort. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Love Emma and Bruce – Perth Australia
I remember Freddie, from my time as a student Controller at Hurn. She wasn’t always everyone’s favourite person, often giving people tough news if they were in trouble at the college. I only had a couple of dealings with her, but I found her to be entirely fair, even if she was scary to us young trainees!!! Having said all that, for me to still remember her name, and smile, and to not be aware she had passed until I looked her up online, that says a lot. A respected lady, always remembered in a lovely way by those of us who met her x
