In loving memory of dear Uncle Geoff, a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by us all. With love from Carol, Peter, Amilia and Luci. XX
With love from Peter, Helen, Amy And Charlie to a our uncle and great uncle who we all will miss for all our own reasons, and all feel blessed to have had him in our lives.
As my god father I have memories way back from being around 10 years old . When driving to pick up Steve from Knowle house after work and chatting about aircraft incessantly , to which uncle Geoff was very patient and kind answering all my questions and imparting his knowledge on the subject which made the drive one of my favourite childhood memories .
I will always be grateful for Uncle Geoff and Auntie Judys support when my father died when I was 19. They both gave me so much love and support then and later, as I started my own family for Uncle Geoff to come and visit us with the arrival of Amy was very kind and appreciated.
Sending our love to Steven and Graham XX
My thoughts are with you all on this sad day. Geoff was a kind & much loved person. I won’t ever forget the kindness he has shown me over the years. Rest in peace.
Love Sj
Geoff was a highly active member of the Wareham Camera Club for 30 plus years, followed by a further 10 years as an Honorary Member. He was a huge part of the club’s history and was a lovely man, always very generous with his time. He was a committee member for all those 30+ years fulfilling many different roles, Chairman, Competition Secretary and Programme Secretary. Geoff was always first to arrive on club nights to get the hall ready – he put the chairs out, got the kitchen ready for refreshments, etc. – and was always the last to leave, having helped with the tidying up. He made exhibition display stands and printed the Club’s programme. Most of all he was a mentor for new members, always ready to pass on his skills, for example on how to mount prints properly. For many years he hosted the committee meetings in his house, always with a bottle of red wine or a beer on hand. Geoff attended every external event without fail so was well known to the photographic community both locally and further afield. All in the Club who new him are extremely saddened at the news of his passing.
