Gerry seemed to spend a bit of time in my office. Always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. For the last 18 months I was there, I could even understand nigh on every word he said. A top man. Rest in peace my friend.
Gerry my old friend, the last time we spoke you had us enthralled for hours catching up on all those years since I left the UK. I am so very sad that there can not be a next time, I am so very sad that you had to leave us, and my heart goes out to your family who will miss you so very much. Gerry old friend, you taught me so much about life and how forgiveness is such an important thing, for that and everything you did to help me along the way, I thank you. Your heart was so full of love and generosity, your nature was that of a gentle man and the world is so much poorer for your passing. Until we meet again in that great squadron bar in the sky, may you rest in peace old friend. My most sincere condolences to Ellen, the girls and your wider family. Fare thee well Gerry
My sincere condolences to Ellen and family. I am so sad to have learned that Gerry lost his terrific fight. If I live to be 100, I doubt that I will ever meet a kinder or gentler soul. I feel privileged to have served with Gerry, probably the first fella that I met in the Regiment. His kindheartedness and fraternal spirit left his indelible mark on me and the world is a poorer place because of his passing. I look forward to meeting up with you again in the Sqn bar in the sky my friend. Fare Thee Well.
Gerry was a true friend to me always at our house, he was like a brother to me. He treated my children like his own and they treated him like a 2nd dad. He will be missed so much
Gerry gone but never forgotten, a great guy when I came to the Regiment always willing to help and always had a guid story to tell. Rest in Peace mate FTW

Gerry we first worked together in HQ Ech in BATUS about 1982 and had a good time. In about 84 I became Tp Sgt and you were my right hand man as a signs instructor you taught my how to repair the kit. We’ve met over the years since retirement, living close and had a good laugh. RIP mate I will be there to say Fare Thee Well Inniskiilling mate.
Gerry I would like to thank you for being my friend in the Regiment. You showed your kindness when you escorted my shift of civilians around Bovington in 2004 and when out of your way to ensure we all had a good time. On behalf of the SKINS Association in N Ireland we would like to send our condolences to Ellen and the family circle at this sad time. A great SKIN gone but not forgotten. Fare Thee Well
RIP Gerry my friend, My condolences to family and friends.
