  1. Gerry seemed to spend a bit of time in my office. Always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. For the last 18 months I was there, I could even understand nigh on every word he said. A top man. Rest in peace my friend.

  2. Gerry my old friend, the last time we spoke you had us enthralled for hours catching up on all those years since I left the UK. I am so very sad that there can not be a next time, I am so very sad that you had to leave us, and my heart goes out to your family who will miss you so very much. Gerry old friend, you taught me so much about life and how forgiveness is such an important thing, for that and everything you did to help me along the way, I thank you. Your heart was so full of love and generosity, your nature was that of a gentle man and the world is so much poorer for your passing. Until we meet again in that great squadron bar in the sky, may you rest in peace old friend. My most sincere condolences to Ellen, the girls and your wider family. Fare thee well Gerry

  3. My sincere condolences to Ellen and family. I am so sad to have learned that Gerry lost his terrific fight. If I live to be 100, I doubt that I will ever meet a kinder or gentler soul. I feel privileged to have served with Gerry, probably the first fella that I met in the Regiment. His kindheartedness and fraternal spirit left his indelible mark on me and the world is a poorer place because of his passing. I look forward to meeting up with you again in the Sqn bar in the sky my friend. Fare Thee Well.
