Gill and I worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Poole General Hospital around 1973/4 . We worked well together and she had my back .This was the first time I had been away from home (Scotland) and Gills happy and caring presence helped me settle at the hospital and in Wareham. We kept in touch over the years with the usual letter and card at Christmas. .We visited her and Rob one year when we went to Dorset on holiday when our kids were wee π₯³ and we were delighted when they came to visit our home a few years back .Itβs been so nice to keep in touch via Facebook and share photos. When Rod msg me to let me know about Gills news I was devastated .I was amazed how she and Rod packed so much into each n every day ,putting a lot of people to shame . Gill was very courageous and humble and I was proud to have known her as a friend fly with the angels dear Gill xxβ€οΈ
Gill was to me a very good colleague and a wonderful nurse to her patients.
We had a lot of fun and worked hard in the realm of community nurses .
They were very happy days.
I am so sorry for Rod and the family.
Gill was truly a remarkable and inspirational women and will be sorely missed.

Passing of Gille, was only able to meet a very
Impressive Cousin a few short years ago & I am
Blessed to have been able to have that Memory. As Us Cowboys say So Long Gille,
Till We meet again.
Your Cousin Dave Rogers (from Canada)
I will always hold my precious cousin Gill, and her family, in my heart. All the more precious as our birthdays are one day apart, we both lived in Dorset and had “same haunts” in common, and we were only able to connect in recent years. She was, and always will be, an inspiration to me. Thank you Gill for being you.
Rest in peace dear Gill. Such an impressive and courageous lady, who took everything in her stride with such grace and strength. It was both an honour and privilege to have met such a remarkable woman and nurse.
We have known Gill all our lives, she will be forever in our hearts and thoughts, such an amazing, brave, lovely lady and a great inspiration to us all. We have many wonderful memories of our family holidays and Christmases together which we will treasure. Gill will be truly missed by us all, love always.

Gill showed amazing courage and dignity during her recent illness.
She was an inspiration to all of us.
Gill enjoyed life to the full, spending very special times with Rod her family and many friends.
we met Gill and Rod when they began looking after our black labradoodle Marmite, and after a couple of years accompanied by our rescue goldendoodle Barney. From the first time we met Gill my husband who is a Doctor said, you can tell Gill used to be a nurse – so organised! It gave us so much pleasure to drop the woofits off with G&R as they realised at the turn into their street where they were and howled the place down – no turning back in sadness as we departed, they were already in the garden making themselves at home! Thank you Gill for all the love you showed our boys and we are both so privileged to have met you. Rest in peace xxx
