In memory of really outstanding man a true ‘Dorset Gentleman’ who will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
Bert Beavis was a legend.
He had enormous warmth, intelligence, integrity, experience, and understanding, with a deep-rooted goodness and breadth of character that is so rarely seen.
A truly admirable man, strong and brave, honourable and upstanding, with a wonderful capacity for wit and humour.
It was a privilege to know him.
So so sad to read that Hubert is no longer with us. We spent many years on holiday in Guernsey with Hubert and Gillian and we all treasure those memories to this day.
Thank you Hubert for being such an inspiration to the younger generation, my boys remember you with great fondness
