  2. Dad was a regular at The Blue Pool otherwise known as his second home. As a regular fixture, he was known by the people working there, especially with Carolyn, the manager, who became a dear friend to him.
He loved talking to visitors about his knitting, of the history of the Blue Pool, the former owner Miss B and the clay mines. His 80th birthday celebration was held there and he formed lasting friendships with people who visited and marvelled at his knitting.
So thank you to Miss B (Jennifer Barnard), Matthew and Julie Jones for welcoming Dad when the Blue Pool reopened, all the past and present people working there and of course Carolyn.
    Love to you all xx

  7. “Last year, dealt a difficult blow Dad, but as you have always done for our family, you were a constant source of strength for me. You demonstrated that while we navigate lives where circumstances often feel beyond our control, our true power lies in taking responsibility and actively shaping our path forward. Your own experiences in challenging times, when external help was minimal, highlighted the fact that our strength to confront life’s consequences comes from within, even when we didn’t cause the initial events.”
“On the flip side Fate may have played a fortuitous hand for me. I got to spend more time with you, to reconnect with my Dad. I have thoroughly enjoyed the time we have spent over the last twelve or so months, chatting about things past and present and most importantly having a laugh. Of course, I will miss you deeply. But I hope I have absorbed enough of your strength and character to offer the rest of our family, and my own, a measure of the same unwavering support and love you’ve always given me and them.”
“It is an honour and a privilege to be your son”

  8. Dad I miss your hugs, which always made me feel safe, soothing words and unconditional love. Loved going out for drives with you, stoping for tea somewhere. Miss you always, glad you are back with mum, for I now know just how hard it was for you to lose your soul mate. You were always the unwavering support for all of us children and if we can have the slightest measure of your strength, happiness, warmth, compassion and friendship we will be doing well. You will be missed by the world more than you know. Love always

    Elaine
