In memory of my lovely, kind, thoughtful and quietly intelligent Dad.
I will always miss your wisdom, sensible words and washing up!
I am proud to have been your daughter, you have been a truly wonderful Dad and Grandad too. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart.
May you rest in peace , and I hope that you will be forever on a butterfly count in the sunshine, (without the pollen!),
With all my love,
Wendy
Our two lovely “old boys”.
May you enjoy many more walkies together.
Rest in Peace xx
Thank you, John, for 51 & a half ( you always used to tell me not to forget the half!) wonderful years together. I will never forget your care, help and understanding . With all my love from, Rosemary.
In memory of a most wonderful person, amazing father In Law and fantastic grandad.
Your kindness, devotion and caring nature is an inspiration to us all.
Miss you every day and promise I will look after all your ladies.

Dear Pops,
Thank you for your unconditional love, your encouraging words, for always being there ready for a massive hug. Thank you for introducing nature, gardening, puzzles, steam trains, fossils and Buddy Holly! Life will be completely different without you and your gentleness, I will miss you always but you will be forever in my heart.
All my love
Ali-Pali xx
Dear John.
Thank you for being a brilliant father-in-law, and a good friend.
Thank you, too, for accepting me as a part of your family.
We will all miss you.
Rest in peace.

John and I will always remember you, John, with love and kindness, and will treasure many happy occasions together – not least your visit with Rosemary to us here in Orkney.
I feel you and I were brought closer together by god’parenting roles and our shared interest in birds, wildlife and nature in general. As I watched ‘Winterwatch’ from RSPB Arne you were in my thoughts.
I shall greatly miss our telephone chats and concerns for each other.
Love from your cousin,
Joy x
Dear Grandad,
Thank you for all the wisdom you’ve shared over the years; you’ve inspired a curiosity about the world that I will carry with me forever.
Rest in peace, I will miss you always.
Em xx
In memory of a true gentleman.
And special thanks for all the support and encouragement during my training and ministry here in Wool
You have left a legacy of memories to all who knew you
Thank you John for your warmth and kindness, for always making me feel so welcome in your home and for providing an environment that felt peaceful and supportive whenever I stayed with Wendy. I will always remember your gentle nature, your love for your family, and your quiet chuckle when things made you smile 🙂 You’ve been such a devoted husband, Dad & Grandad and an inspiration for all of us that were lucky enough to know you. The birds are singing extra sweetly today in your honour.
