Much loved brother in law & uncle. Rest in peace John. From Andy, Carole, Jess & Jo. Xxxx
Fellow musician since 1960’s when John joined the Sassenachs & later when he invited me to front his band “Fine Mixture” John was an inspiration to me & we had a lot of fun, followed in later years with two other bands, always enthusiastic, John will be sadly missed.

RIP John love always Robert and Betty
Keep playing your music 🎵
You were just a nice person and I’m glad that I knew you. Rock on mate. Bob & Marg Gregory.
I crossed paths with you many years ago in the print industry and you were always a fountain of knowledge on many subjects. Advising and entertaining especially in the guitar world. Hope you are at peace and playing a guitar wherever you are John.
It won’t just be your fabulous guitar playing that will be missed but being in a band with you has been such fun.
Sorely missed, will always remember our fishing trips when we were young, we have always been a close family over the years.
God Bless you
Cousin Joe Allbury
Remembering John – a lovely man
Dear Heather,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your beloved John. Although this is such a difficult time, I hope today is a chance to share in many happy memories with those who knew and loved him for his many strengths and talents. We are grateful for the love of drumming that he sparked in Oscar, (though not always when he was practising!)
To Hayley, Julie and Rob, our heartfelt condolences too.
With much love
Fil & Jeff (and Oscar, Will and Bea)

RIP John.. a much loved man and have always made us feel part of the family. Been so lucky to be included in many family events and hopefully avoided being caught by John on his camcorder!! The music will play on but you’ll be missing. Much love xxx
