  8. Dear Harris family,
John was a gentleman and full of fun. He was a pleasure to work with and did not shrink from any responsibilities.
You can be truly proud of him. Don’t be afraid to weep because you are going to miss him deeply and don’t forget to laugh at some of the fun times that you will remember.
I am so sorry that I couldn’t be with you today. I suspect that there would have been many retired bobbies joining with you if we hadn’t been prevented from doing so by the virus.
    God bless,
    Ian Smith.

    Ian Smith
  9. Lovely service on a beautiful day. We didn’t know John for very long so he was always in the wheelchair but even so we did get the occasional glimpse of the lovely man he was. Thinking of you all with love.

    Anne & Fred Poate

  11. John was always cheery when I met him both in the police and outside. Later also when collecting MS vehicles. I have fond memories.
