John spent his life giving to others, he will be sorely missed by all who knew him and loved him. Wimborne Rotary will not be the same without him. RIP
John always lit up any room. His generosity, kindness to people, and cheerfulness will be missed by many in the town. We will always have fond memories of John.
A dear friend, so sorry you’ve gone and left us, we shall miss you.
A very dear friend, I will miss you greatly
A wonderful father and a very special man who helped so many.
Goodbye to a very kind man.
I was sad to hear of John’s passing.
My memories of him and Molly were when I was about 7.
They had a summerhouse in their garden that was full of Robinson Jam gollies. Every where you looked.
Also in the garden was a water pump that worked! My brother and I thought it was amazing. It always seemed to be sunny at their house.
John and Miolly helped us through a very difficult time in our lives and I know my mum ( Rosemary Froud) will always be grateful.
Rachel Gilmer (nee) Hunter.
So sorry to hear the news, also of Molly. Known both for years, and had many a cup of coffee and cake, overlooking the river. RIP both, reunited. Fond memories.
In fondest memory and appreciation of a special person and friend.
John was a man of many parts with various interests in the Wimborne area. I knew him for many years
with his work in the law courts throughout Dorset. He enjoyed going to the various court houses and was renowned for “Slow’s Law” He advised his magistrates in a style all his own and was well respected by the various Benches. His love of horse racing was well known to his staff and Cheltenham Week was always a top priority. His generosity was appreciated by many including my wife and myself.
John had a very full life and will be sorely missed. It was a privilege to know him and Molly and they are
now re-united. Rest in peace.
