Joy Steele

1947 - 2022

Passed away suddenly, but peacefully at Dorchester Hospital on 13th January, aged 74 years. Much loved wife of Sid, adored Mum of Julie and Karen, ‘Granny’ to Krista and Charlotte, Elsa and Ines, she will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends.

New Government guidelines advise those attending funerals to take a rapid lateral flow device (LFD) test to manage your risk, even if you don’t have symptoms.

  5. Joy inspired everyone she met whether it was on the bowls green or in church or just as a friend. Her ability to teach the game of bowls to children was magical and she produced junior champion bowlers from her efforts.
    Everyone who ever met her will be so sad at her passing.
    She is now in Heaven as she hoped she would be.

    Joy was a good friend, always someone to talk to and share problems.
    She was a bowling mate, who, as a member of the Blandford Ladies Fours represented Dorset at Leamington Spa. What an achievement.
    She will be so missed.
