Lisa was special – fun, bright and compassionate. She is part of my life, I will always think of her and have so many lovely memories.
Sending love to you all,
Sarah xxxx
We met Lisa and Paul when they and the Hartley-Russells were starting their families. Lisa was immediately warm and direct and a great source of support. She was smart and funny, and also serious. She’s been a close friend ever since and we often think of her. We send lots of love to Paul, Tim and Alex.
Lisa and Paul were my sanity in my early days working in the Hotel trade in London. Because I knew Lisa as a family friend previously, she became my other “big sister”, always bringing a sense of humour, fun but also reality to the strange world I was at that time inhabiting. We had many laughs and I look back at those days with fondness.A lovely, generous person whom I will miss.My thoughts are with Paul & the boys.
My husband Ajit and I, Sonal, met Lisa and family at Jim Corbett National park in India around 24 years ago. She was smart and friendly with a lovely sense of humour. We immediately took to each other and though we were separated by thousands of miles, we kept in touch through emails, letters and whatsapp messages. Our children and the Dartnall children, all 4 boys, were around the same age. My older son moved from Mumbai to London for 3 years and thanks to that we met the Dartnalls several times. It has been a pleasure and privilege to have known Lisa and she will always have a special place in our hearts. Om Shanti.
We know we all die but this universal fact doesn’t comfort the grief of loss of loved ones. The only difference between living and death is just a difference in time.
I know Lisa had left this place and gone to a better place where there is no more sorrow and pain.
Still, those who remain will live as they should, but I also think that if they are sad, they will gain the strength to understand the finiteness of time
Lisa, good bye and you will be always in my heart.
Paul, be sad but be strong.
With warmest love
