It is with the heaviest of hearts that the families of Lucy Martin and John Watts announce the passing of our beloved Lucy and Baby Elodie Rowan on Monday 23rd March 2026.
Everybody that knew Lucy will be well aware of what a devastating loss this is to us all.
A funeral service for them both is being held at St Peter's and St Paul's church Blandford on Saturday 25th April 2026 at 11.30am all are welcome.
This will be followed by a private burial so please go ahead to The Crown and the family will rejoin you. The family have requested family flowers only and donations in lieu are for Dorset Wildlife Trust.

I was so very sorry to hear the news about Lucy and Elodie. I honestly don’t quite have the words, but please accept my heartfelt condolences; my thoughts are with you all at this incredibly difficult time.
Lucy was such a lovely person—always bright and cheerful—and I will really miss seeing her each week when she came into school to teach piano. I really loved our little chats in the office. I feel very grateful to have known her, even in that small way.
Wish we had the magic words to bring Lucy and Elodie’s loved ones comfort, but we send you all our fond regards and sympathy.
