We remember Margaret with great fondness. She was an inspirational Christian who was always ready to offer a positive word of encouragement to those she met. Together with Derrick she was always welcoming to friends to her home and many Bible Studies were held in their sitting room!
Sadly we have had little contact over recent years, but we hold her in our hearts with love.
A wonderful mother , who spent her life caring for others as a sister at the local geriatric hospital in Wareham , as a devoted Methodist supporting Wareham church and running a bible study group . As a wonderful mum to us all , a home filled with love , and her wonderful baking always fresh percolated coffee on the go. and of course her lovely Northern Irish voice , singing melodies as she baked , accompanied with our beloved Dad Deryck playing the piano or organ music . With all our love mum till we meet again David , Marina , Sasha , Deryck and Luna and Simba xxxx
This wonderful lady interviewed me for a post at Wareham Hospital in 1992 thus starting my NHS career. I’ve recently retired and I’ve never forgotten the chance and mentorship she gave me.
Rest in peace Sister Margret Brown-Smith.
