Goodbye to a brave soul who showed courage through long bouts of illness. Also wishing Jane support and love through her grieving and readjustment to life without Mark.
Thinking of you Jane especially during the next few weeks and months.
Very best wishes
Angela and Tim
I have fond memories of Mark. He and Jane helped me through difficulties and I almost came to Cyprus . I am still on the telephone. Now in Cumbria.
With love from Peter Honey and family.
Mark could not have had a more wonderful person than you, Jane, at his side through his illness – I will be thinking of you with lots of love.
Dear Jane,
You have our love and support through your grief for Mark.
We will always remember his keen interest in natural history especially wild orchids and his love of the sea.
Our sincere condolences Jane.
Liz and I are very sad to hear of his death.
Mark and I went to the same church together, and then became friends at school too. We laughed a lot together.
I have very fond memories of our teenage years – we shared many interests – especially the love of music like ELP, David Bowie, Yes etc.
We spent two successive years in the seventies visiting Ios, making the journey overland by Interail. In 1976, we coincidentally bumped into Chris and Pete H. in the middle of Athens.
Mark and I also met Steve H, the first time on the Island of Ios, who later became a dear friend.
We also occasionally attended St Swithun (upon Kinsgate) Church, which had a strong youth movement led by an inspirational chaplain.
Those were happy times and I am glad to have shared them with Mark.
Thank you for all you have done for Mark, Jane.
So sorry for you loss Jane. My thoughts and love are with you especially at this time.
I have many happy memories of Mark over the years – initially at German class (and the pub afterwards!) in the eighties, going on walks around Winchester and in Dorset enjoying the countryside, together with many interesting chats and occasional meet-ups discussing IT, gadgets and the flora and fauna of the south.
I shall miss the conversations and Mark’s humour.
My thoughts are with you Jane at this time.
Love and Best Wishes

Jane,
Our condolences for your loss. You are in our thoughts…
Love,
Rob, Renee, Ben and Arielle
I’ll miss you, Mark !
Mark was part of my English family since I was 15, he was 13 when I first stayed with the Lambert. He introduced me to T. rex music and pubs ! Quite an experience for a French girl !
We had long talks thanks to WhatsApp so distance was less of a problem. Still I would have loved to see him again.
Rest peaceful Mark

Happy memories of Mark and Jane helping me write and implement a database. Now have a good collection of Mark’s flower pics
Thinking of you Jane.
Although a somewhat distant cousin, peace after coping with so much for so long
Chris and I have very fond memories of Mark and are grateful for the times he visited us. With our thoughts and prayers for Jane, for Judy and all of Mark’s family, as you give thanks for his life and journey forward without him but with his love in your hearts.
Mark was a brilliant friend – I knew him for 24 years, since working together in the late 90s. We kept in touch through daily (and sometimes hourly) emails for most of that time and talked about all sorts of subjects, often with very different points of view. Through all that time, Mark sadly had health issues, but he still made the most of life and I loved seeing all his holiday photos, nature photos and our chats about his love of cars and music – especially the Pet Shop Boys. He was a truly unique character and I will miss him. My thoughts are with Jane, who has always been there for Mark.
