Martyn was a very special friend. We will miss him dearly. We will treasure all our memories of time spent together in our hearts. All our lover and prayers, Mary, Laurence, Oliver, William, Alastair and Christopher. XX
I am so happy I got to know Martyn. He was a fixture of my childhood, either cheering at our rugby games in a way that made sure you heard him, even if we were at the other end of the pitch. Or taking the mick out of us after a night out asking ‘how many blokes we pulled’ as he was cooking the fry up. He was always a joy to be around.
Love and thoughts to the Hogg family, he will be very proud of all of you.
Journey well my friend and I’ll catch you on the other side.
It was wonderful to see you again after Grenville and of course to meet Angela.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both and our heartfelt condolences to all of the family
Much love
Martyn – always a glint in his eyes, a cheeky smile, and a wry sense of humour.
Sending our deepest condolences to Angela and family at this sad time. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
Julie-Anne & Mike xx
Angela, Lucy, George and Ellie, our love, thoughts and prayers are with you always. Martyn you were a unique wonderful man and a great friend. We had such great days together as families, through Round Table, 41 club, significant birthday BBQ’s, our children’s’ weddings and even that rainy week in caravans in Aberystwyth. Martyn you are deeply loved and hugely missed, rest in peace.
Sue, Steve, Laura and Bethie xx

Martyn was the kindest, funniest man and quite cheeky, well, actually very cheeky! but he was cheeky in such a way he could get away with it; he made u belly laugh, tears would be streaming.
Martyn had unique sayings which I’m sure I remember Tom started a little list of at one point as we loved them so much and didn’t want to forget them! He would randomly burst out into song “oh what would the matter be, 3 old ladies stuck in the lavatory!”.
Martyn was very proud of his children and more recently his grandchildren and his lovely wife Angela. Martyn was a real family man.
I am grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing Martyn. Fond memories and Martyn’s saying will live on with me forever 💕
The last thing Martyn said to me in hospital was “that’s the spirit” and then he said nun night 🙏💕
My thoughts are with Angela, Lucy, George and Elle xxx

Martyn was, at his core, a devoted family man. His love for his family was evident in everything he did. His stories about them were always filled with pride, joy, and laughter. He had a way of making life’s moments—both big and small—feel like an adventure, always finding fun in the everyday. That energy was contagious, drawing people to him and brightening any room he entered.
One of the great things about Martyn was his ability to make you feel at ease. No matter how long it had been since you last spoke, he had a way of picking up right where you left off, with that same warmth and joy. He knew how to make people laugh, how to make you feel important in his presence, and how to appreciate the simple pleasures of life.
We will miss you being around Martyn and that special smile and laughter you always had.
Dear Martyn, we have shared so many good times over the years, as our families have grown up. You have always been there, with your wit, and good humour. You are irreplaceable and we will miss you dearly.
Sending love to Angela, Lucy, George and Eleanor, and all the family. xxx
So many memories of Martyn when I was growing up, always cracking jokes and making us laugh when he picked us up from parties. Sending all my love to the family at this time xx
One of our earliest memories of our friendship with Martyn is one of him in hilarious fancy dress for a sixties themed party. So many more fun memories of family camping trips and the celebration of many special occasions over the years!
Sending our love and warmest condolences to Angela, George, Lucy and Ellie.
John , Sandra and family.

I would like to express my sincere best wishes to Martyn’s family. I worked alongside Martyn for many years in my role as chairman of Compass Point in Sandbanks. Martyn was a lovely man, very helpful in getting work done around Compass Point in a very relaxed manner. He was a tremendous asset to Castleford Management. In all our years of working today I don’t remember us having a cross word.
From all the owners of Compass point but essentially from myself, God bless Martyn, rest in peace.
Keith Walker

Even though I only knew you in a work environment, it was a pleasure to have known you Martyn and I will miss your sense of humour and my visits to your desk.
My condolences to your family.
Martyn & Bryan were the ‘best of mates’ from the earliest days at Grenville College and thereafter followed many years of great friendship & hilarity.
Martyn’s wonderful humour and chuckle were infectious and aligned with the kindest of nature it made him a very special person.
I will be ever grateful for his friendship with Bryan and I’m so grateful & thankful they are now together in the life hereafter.
With love to all his family at this sad time.

Martyn will be greatly missed and we’re very lucky to have known him.
So many good memories together, from school camps to weddings, and everything in between.
What a Dear personal friend and to so many.
Who filled the room with a chuckle and spread bonhomie with largesse. His love for lovely Angela and his equally lovely family was so obvious to all.
Rest in Peace Dear Boy! ( and yes Hogg, I know the word ‘lovely’ is greatly over used but come up with a better description and not one of your run of the mill Estate Agency terms please !).
Big Love to the Hogg Family.
We will miss seeing his smiling face and hearing that infectious laugh.
Thoughts are with Angela and family
I have fond memories of chatting with Martyn at 41 Club Conferences and Sporting weekend as well as many other times. His tales of life generally and Japan especially were full of humour and colour. I will also miss the many jokes he used to forward on.
Michelle and I enjoyed our meals out with Angela and Martyn and will cherish those moments.
Life is so fragile.
With love, and a hug, from Trevor & Michelle
I would have liked to have joined you today to represent the Clutterbucks but sadly I’m unable to make it. We have strong memories growing up of our family get togethers and overhearing the joy and laughter of mum and dad’s telephone conversations with you both over the years. That joyful everlasting friendship was something very special to us all.
Sending all our love to you today x
