In loving memory of a kind and loving cousin with whom we spent many happy times.

To my ‘cousin’ Mary,
Even though we have lived so far from each other since our respective marriages, I will miss our annual Christmas card updates for the past 50+ years. I’ve posted a card to Linda but thought it would be a lovely memory to share with all the family.
Mary and I grew up together and never lost touch. I will never forget the day we spent on Swanage beach in our new checked bikinis. We felt outrageous, trendsetters and giggled the whole day while having lots of fun. Mine was a pink and white bikini but Mary bought a blue and white checked bikini due to her famous red hair. We had many escapades growing up.
Both Derek, my late husband, and Douglas passed away in the same year. I believe Derek who spent so much time in jankers and the glass house will be causing Douglas plenty of mischief and laughs in the next life!
But, I will miss Mary and her annual family updates so much. We lived hundreds of miles away, but we always took the time to reconnect each year.
I’m sending my condolences to all the family. While physically I won’t be able to be at the service in person, she will always be with me in spirit.
