Farewell Aunty Maureen. From my earliest memories of you vacuuming Nana’s house blasting out “The Lord of the Dance” your vibrancy has been a constant in my life. From my younger years with your excriciating attempts to delve into my innermost thoughts, and when you failed to get me to speak French, through to our last meeting in Melanie’s garden last year. “Life and soul of the party” and “larger than life” are clichés but they are no less true. Our family parties and sing alongs will live in my memory as long as I have one. Fly high Aunty Maureen, you will be sadly missed, but celebrated, by all who were lucky enough to know you.
