  9. Such sad news, I worked alongside Maurice @ The Farmers Arms in Apperley. I have some very fond memories of taking my son to work and Maurice whisking him off on adventures, whilst I worked.
A very generous kind hearted man, who lived to entertain. One of the best publican’s I have ever known.
My thoughts are with Matthew, Alison and their families at this incredibly difficult time. XX

  13. Dear Matthew and Zeta, I’m so sorry… First time I met Maurice In Kharkiv (Ukraine), in 2014. I worked at the hotel where he stayed. I told him about my school dream- to visit the UK. It was almost impossible to get the visa that days… And he said: “So why don’t you visit me?”… One year later he met me and my girlfriend at the Luton airport (he hates him, by the way), hosted us and showed the breathtaking places, introduced to his wonderful family and close friends… I can’t describe how much delighted I was. He made one of my biggest dreams come true. I will never forget you, Maurice. Rest In Peace.
