Michael aged 91 years passed away peacefully on Tuesday 9th February 2021. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Mike was a true gentleman, and over the many years (40 +) we worked together as colleagues we have amassed a huge number of treasured memories. He will be sorely missed. The donation was made on behalf of John Virgin & myself , Joss Wood

Dear Jessica,
It was with great sadness that I learnt of your father’s death from Joss. Mike looked after me for so many years until he retired, and then he took a ‘gun’ on my late Father’s shoot, called ” Dads Army”! But, he always remembered meeting me and Father many years earlier up at Compton Abbas. Something to do with fertilizing from the air. So, he became a link with our early days at Luccombe and my family. He once spotted that Amanda, my wife, had won the Telegraph crossword puzzle and rang her up to congratulate! I was so glad that I managed to get him back out to Luccombe for ‘Tea and a look around the place’, a couple of years ago. It was a great afternoon for both of us. A true walk down memory lane! You will also have your fond memories, and also know that many folk will be remembering your Dad and offering you their sympathies during this sad time, as I do now. Murray Kayll x
