  1. Mum, you were taken from us a week ago and it’s been very hard not having you here. Your love is still our guide and although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.
You left us beautiful memories and we’ve shared them and remembered them. We’ve cried so many tears but we’ve also laughed so many laughs, especially looking at the old photographs. You are now reunited with Dad and we can think of you both sharing those memories too.
You will be missed every day but today is extra hard because I should be saying ‘Happy Mothering Sunday’.
Thank you for everything and for all the love you gave us.
God Bless mum, you will always be in our hearts.
Lots of love from Mark and Diana xxxx

  2. I cried and cried when I heard the sad news. I am so very sorry we haven’t been able to come to see you again as I promised. But once I thought of you again reunited with Uncle Doug, I knew you were happy and at peace. Back where you belong – together. We are all thinking of you and will miss you very, very much always. God bless, Roy, Celia and all the family (up north).

  3. I have such fond memories of being with Granny throughout my childhood. I remember days out and family holidays, where I would often share with Granny. I have very early memories of Granny coming to baby sit for myself and Matt. These evenings were always filled with games, fun and laughter, and always ended with us falling asleep to the sound of her singing, usually “you are my sunshine”. I also enjoyed sleepovers at Granny’s, these were again filled with fun, and without fail involved us watching “The Sound of Music”. From this, it quickly became one of my favourite films and continues to be so! I will always cherish our lovely trip to Salzburg and experiencing the sound of music tour with her!
Where to start with the apple crumble…I don’t know where I’m going wrong but even with her exact recipe mine will never taste as good as hers!
I am so thankful that Granny got to be a part of my special day, when I married Connor, and has since got to be a part of our three beautiful children’s lives, I know how much she adored them and was adored in return. More recently, we got to share a wonderful day with her, Granny, Mum, myself and Isla. Four generations, the girls, enjoying shopping, cake and a cuppa (of course!) and spending time in each other’s company.
I will always remember her beautiful smile, the feel of her hands on mine, the smell of Dove soap will always remind me of her! And the love she had for her family.
Granny, you are so very missed and loved, you will always be in our hearts and thoughts.
Until we meet again. All our love, Lisa, Connor, Alfie, Charlie and Isla xxx

  4. Olive was a regular visitor to my parents’ house in Dorchester while I was growing up in the early 1950s and her cheery smile was always memorable, Olive being my mother’s cousin. After I travelled widely in my career and then made my home in Kent, it was a long time before contact was re-established. But when it was, my late wife Cara and I visited Olive in Bere Regis a few times, and once again that cheerful disposition came to the fore and brought back so many early memories.

  5. Granny you were loved by all who met you, we have all cried together and laughed together remembering you and all of the times we spent together, you may be gone now but your memory will always live on with all of us. So many happy memories growing up with you, your roast dinners, the apple crumbles, teaching us how to play card games as children (with the occasional rude word), many games of rummy and new market with all the family. You are at last reunited with grandad and uncle rich. Rest in peace granny. We all love you so much xxx

Matt, Stef, Amelia, Oscar and Willow
