  12. To the family and friends of my unforgettable colleague Paul. He was a large part of the reason I so much enjoyed working at Lulworth for the five years between 2011 and 2016. We shared many a yarn when everyone else had gone home. He was for me one of the good guys, steering me anway from the pitfalls of working for the estate. I am so sorry he has left you and us so early.

  20. Dear Sally, We were deeply saddened to belatedly hear of Paul’s passing. We have very fond memories of meeting Paul for the first time at Lulworth Castle and then Paul subsequently introducing us to Revd Bob as we planned our wedding at the Castle and a blessing service afterwards in St. Andrews church. We are glad we were able to give back to the community over subsequent years singing at the Coast and Country Festival. Sending you sincere condolences and love, John and Kath Tilling

  21. I’m a friend from tourism who met Paul during his tenure at the Dickens Inn in Philadelphia PA. He joined us once for Thanksgiving celebration. I was privileged later to visit he and Sally in their Dover home in the mid 1980s. Paul was a special person and Sally an extraordinary host. I’ve just discovered this news of Paul’s passing and hope my condolences might still be conveyed to Sally.

  22. Very sorry to hear the news about Paul. I knew him in the late 1980s when I was running the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle and he was brought in by Sir Stuart Pringle to be the new Operations Manager at the Chatham Historic Dockyard where we were based. Paul brought a lot to that role and I was sorry to see him go when he moved on to head up the White Cliffs Experience at Dover and later Lulworth.
