  1. Dear Gerald, Brenda and Graham,

We are very sorry not to be able to attend Penny’s funeral but, as you know, I have had a serious medical problem with discitis, which has only been confirmed recently following just over a two week period in hospital.

Following Brenda’s telephone call, we wanted to write to you to express our sincere and great sadness in learning of Penny’s passing.

We can reflect with considerable understanding and humility over a whole lifetime of the two Clapp families and recollect what fine times we have much enjoyed in the past.

Penny was a lovely lady with many, many fine qualities – great interest in both families, generosity, kindness, subtlety of wit and many others. In particular, we remember the very enjoyable visits of Penny (and Gerald) to “Linksway” a few years ago. They are so clear in our valued memories.

Please accept our very sincere condolences at this difficult time.

With our love to you and all of your families.

    Valerie and Trevor

  2. With our love and prayers for Geoff, Graham, Brenda and the wider family on the loss of Penny. We have good memories of her smile and zest for life.
