  2. Dear Philippa,
Thanks for all the lovely times we’ve spent together. Much sympathy to the family you leave behind. We’ll never forget the dignity, stoicism and lack of self pity with which you faced your final days and months. A true inspiration.
    Lots of love,
    John and Alf

  3. Please accept mine and Jeremy’s heartfelt condolences at this very sad time. We shall miss Philippa very much.
Even though we only met a few years ago here in Swanage, Philippa and I shared a common career with IBM, myself in Paris and London and Philippa in London and New York and enjoyed reminiscing over our individual roles and experiences with “Big Blue”, that dynamically innovative, highly awarded, international organisation we would say we were lucky to be ‘brought up’ in with it’s leading-edge HR policies, always ensuring great respect for the individual which we thought (hoped!) rubbed off on us both.
As for Jeremy, he enjoyed taking Philippa’s much-loved dog Purdey out on walks with our two ‘woofties’ for a time so it’s a pleasure to offer our small donation to Purdey’s one-time home at Margaret Green’s.
    Much love and sympathies.

  4. For Philippa
    Dearest, luminous friend,
now are you free among the stars.
May the angels welcome your return,
as you come home to Light.
    Ever were we friends, ever will we be;
though the years have parted us
    Love bides in Eternity.

    Godspeed on your journey.

I give my deepest sympathy to your loved ones,
    friends, and family.

  5. To my dear friend Philippa,
Remembering a dear friend lost too soon. We so much enjoyed the usual smiles and laughter of friendship to the fullest. We shared so many life experiences and career changes, like each living in Nigeria, Americas and at some time in the past having London residences.
The sadness will remain but the memories of the shared beauty and creativity in friendship endures.
Condolences sent from Frances and the Thackway family in their far flung homes, (they too will always remember times shared together),
    Sending loving wishes,
    Frances x

  6. We will remember you for your very positive approach to everything you undertook. We draw on your enthusiasm as s gift to all who knew you.
We’ll think of you with fond memories every time we pass your home and delightful garden.

  7. Philippa walked in beauty all her life and brought sunshine to all who knew her. Her quick wit, intelligence and concern for others will be remembered and also her courage facing adversity with dignity and grace. She will be remembered in so many ways, for Philippa everything was possible and in true military style she was sorted, packed and ready for the next posting. Dearest friend, thank you for all you gave us, our love is always with you and you will live on in our hearts forever.

    Carlotta Barrow
  8. May Philippa’s zest, passion and compassion blossom forever.

  9. Shock to find out about Phillipa’s passing. I knew her a million years ago at IBM. Lovely, sweet human being. RIP gorgeous xx

  10. My dearest Philippa. We shared laughs, tears, travels, and so many wonderful conversations over the years. I do so wish I could pick up the phone to call you, but alas. I will see you when my time comes, dear friend. I miss you terribly. God bless you.

    Cheryl Metrick
  11. I recall our time together in and around Greenwich, Connecticut many years ago.
We enjoyed each other’s company and shared many wonderful moments. Had not connected for years and a mutual friend shared the very sad news with me this morning. My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved her.

    Guy Bignell
