Dear Ruth, Mark, Lucy, Anna and Tom and the rest of your family. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of Richard from dropping off Anna at university, Marks wedding, Anna’s 30th dinner or just his consistent birthday messages on Facebook. He was so welcoming, fun and kind. I always loved his use of the word ‘dear’ so authentic and one of the best humans. With much love Leonie xxx
We were fortunate to know Richard through his daughter Lucy and son-in-law Kevin. In Richard we found a joyful soul who gained enormous happiness from his kids, grandchildren and of course his wife Ruth. A man rich in impact to others through his caring nature personified in life and in his passing.
Our heartfelt condolences to Ruth, children snd grandchildren.
Richard was one of the nicest people I have ever met, and always had a smile on his face. I grew up without a Dad & I always remember thinking how lucky Tom was to have such a great Dad. Sending my love to you all.

Many people are better versions of themselves directly because of the overwhelming kindness, compassion, empathy and love that Richard so selflessly gave to all he met. Endlessly and without hesitation. A talk, always a smile, a heart so full you could feel it radiate from him into your own.
He made the world a better place in so many ways, to so many people of differing backgrounds. His insatiable love for life and his family continues to be an inspiration. A light leading the lost, still.
So, thankyou Richard. For everything.
And to his family, we send our love and gratitude for sharing him with the world and hope you find some peace in the outpouring of love being sent your way.
Much love and our condolences,
Darren & Maisie Lovell. Xxx
I am so sorry for your loss. If I had had chance to see Richard I would have liked to have let him know that I really appreciated his willingness to always help and support the needs of Asylum Seekers and Refugees that we were working with at the British Red Cross. It made such a difference to many including to myself.
My sincere thanks for your kindness.
Dear Mark, Anna and family sending much love and hugs from afar. He truly sounds like an amazing human being and is still giving in his afterlife. Condolences to you all over this very tough time.

So sorry to hear about Richard. He was such a lovely man. Always had time for everyone, never without a smile. Love to you all and please be comforted by the respect and love we all felt for him .
On my many visits to the Bush house when we were younger Richard always provided a very warm welcome with his big smile and unique laugh. A very special person, he will be truly missed.
Sending our love and condolences to you all x
I worked with Richard from when he first came to Dorset in 1984 through to 1997. He was a decent man , full of kindness.
Richard gave me the opportunity to work in child care in Bournemouth in 1987. He was very fair and supportive manager who put his faith into practice through his work.
It was a privilege to work with and for him.
May he rest in peace.
Although it was such a moving and poignant occasion, it was great to meet up with lots of old Friends/friends yesterday, and the refreshments afterwards were excellent and much appreciated.
With our love,
Michael and Chris
