Dad was tired and passed away just before Christmas.
He knew he was loved and I told him “Thank you for being my Dad”
Above all he wanted me to go and look after Mum and even though he was so tired at the end of living. He drew strength from his heartfelt love for Mum.
Thank you Dad for giving us a privileged yet well grounded upbringing in which I am truly lucky to have seen and done some amazing things all thanks to those who went before me to whom I am truly grateful.
Love you all and Love you Dad
Thank you so much for being mine.
Kelvin
Dad always cared about others, asking constantly what he could do to help.
He recognised the kindness people gave and would say how people were so good to him.
He would be pleased if you could remember him perhaps, by donating to The Leonardo Trust, for carers throughout Dorset.
There is so much care given by special people young and old alike without saying.
Remember them.
With love and thanks, his family.
To Kelvin, Adrian, and Auntie Jean,
“What we have once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose…
All that we love deeply become a part of us…” (Helen Keller)
My deepest thoughts and love sent to you all at this time of sorrow. There are no words to take the pain, but know that Uncle Robin will always be loved and missed for his beautiful smile, his kindness, his big warm hugs, and his silly jokes. I am so thankful to have spent some time with him before he left us behind and when I think of him, I will always picture him doing what he loved, painting in his conservatory.
Forever loved and always in my heart.
Love,
Lillian
Robin and I shared a lovely of Family History and spent hours exchanging anecdotes and information about our family on the occasions we met up with his sister Kathy after reconnecting in adulthood. It was due to Robin’s good memory that I was able to locate the painting of our grandfather by the notable artist Ralph Hedley which had been hung in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 1896. He was a sensitive, thoughtful man with a strong sense of family who I am sure will be missed by all who knew him.

Robin (Bob) was larger than life for me as I grew up, and as I was younger than Kelvin and Adrian I always wanted to be involved in building something with all three of them. Bob always had something for me to build or dismantle. Fond memories, rest in peace Bob – Kirstin, all our love to Kelvin, Adrian and the whole family.
I will miss you dearly.
I remember a big, tall, gentle man. He was not afraid to protect and comfort you with a soft voice, a shoulder, or just holding your hand in silence.
Across the miles in times of my sorrow, Uncle Robin comforted me with a letter and a poem.
Said the robin to the sparrow, “I should really like to know, why these anxious human beings rush around and worry so.” Said the sparrow to the robin, ” Friend I think that it must be, that they have no Heavenly
Father, such as cares for you and me.” ( Elizabet Cheney 1859)
Uncle Robin, across the miles , this time I comfort myself from the loss of you. I will always, with deep love and appreciation, remember our walks, you holding my hand with comfort and strength, your gentle ways.
Our Heavenly Father requested your presence.
To family left behind, celebrate his life and love. Carry the precious memories with you. As long as someone lives in your heart, they are never forgotten.
