I am so sorry to hear of Ron’s death. We both talked about the army together on several occasions, although I did not have his experience, being only a National Serviceman. What I did realise was that beneath his quiet demeanour, he was an exceptionally intelligent person and good company at all times. We will all miss him at Probus – our last remaining Founder Member, who would always be there no matter what the wind and weather might throw at him.
