Fond memories of working together in Exeter and our daily commute from Crediton. You were always a Gentleman.
The last 10 years of friendship have been a mix of challenges and fun. The sad loss of Rosie and your Charity work, energy and enthusiasm for golf, friendship and camaraderie. You will be greatly missed.
It was a pleasure to know Shane – a really kind person with a big smile on his face. May he rest in peace.
A true Gentleman. compassionate and great fun to be with.
Will be greatly missed.
Shane, you were always a kind and considerate friend, and will be sadly missed by so many people.

Shane a true golfer and gentleman

A sad loss. Shane always had a friendly smile and a wonderfully cheery disposition. He is someone we are proud to have known and will miss him greatly.
We were profoundly shocked to hear the very sad news about Shane- he was always the pinnacle of a true gentleman, a man of the highest integrity and discretion, always positive and fun to meet and a valued friend to us all. Our deepest condolences to Andrew and Georgina.
I have many happy memories of Shane over the years, growing up. He was always cheerful and loved life. He will be greatly missed.
We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbour and thereafter, a friend, to welcome us to our new home here in Bournemouth. Whether it was beers over New Years eve, golf/rugby banter, or a gin and tonic whilst tackling a puzzle – you will be missed. Rest in peace Shane.
Love Jake and Rea
Many happy memories of Shane through our time spent working together at Lloyds.
Shane, we are deeply saddened by the news of your loss. It was a pleasure to know you. We would never imagine that our wedding was the last occasion to see you.

One of Golf’s gentlemen who it was my privilege to meet and share some happy days together. We will miss him.
We shall miss an old and valued friend, taken far too soon, and will raise a glass to you, Shane, at our next Branscombe Banker’s Bash!
I have long standing memories of Shane, going back to Okehampton days in the 70 when he worked with Jim Lyle and Brian Drake, he will have known me as Mary Drake then.
I then worked with him at Eastleigh and Chandlers Ford in the 80’s and latterly caught up with him again through our love of golf. I can remember how his half way around the world sailing brought life outside of Lloyd’s Bank to the fore and the impact it had on him. They were fond times so different to today.
We both found a new life and he is now on his final fairway. May the greens always be kind and rest assured they will be no rough to worry about.
Thank you Shane for being such a great Honorary Treasurer to the Southampton Committee of the Mission to Seafarers, while I was Chairman.
Shane
it was a pleasure to have known you and to have enjoyed your company through the Hampshire Captains body. You made a wonderful Captain last year and did the Association proud. It is a tragedy that you have been taken so quickly and before you could enjoy many more years of golfing and other leisure activities. Thank you for your company and friendship: you were a real gentleman and will be sorely missed.
