An honour to fly with such a gentleman and accomplished pilot. A sad loss to the aviation community and will be sorely missed.
Phil, Andy and Margaret we are very sad to hear to Steve’s passing. Steve gave up so much of his time to help rig the slalom course at Darley Abbey and help me to learn how to canoe. I know my Dad (RIP) held Steve with the utmost respect and he was certainly one of the most happiest and main stays of Midland Canoe Club. Paddle hard, surf the waves, and keep that joyous smile Steve. Happy memories you gave us from the Daws family.
A sad loss. And a pleasure to work with. Steve displayed all those qualities that allowed him to make the job look so easy and his students to gain so much from his knowledge and experience. He combined professionalism with an infectious sense of humour. It was an honour to work with him. RIP.
Steve will be very much missed. I know I speak for all at Swanage SC. His latest achievement was mastering “flight” of the RS Vareo asymmetric dinghy with spinnaker at Swanage SC and he was on the verge of winning against us more experienced. Typical for Steve he appeared to be stronger re: his news that those around him. Clear air Steve.
I had the privilege to fly with Steve a couple of times. He was the consummate professional and a good bloke to be on tour with. He will be missed by the Hawker community at NetJets.
Rest in peace.
I am so proud to have been friends with Stephen and his lovely wife for over thirty years. There are so very many happy memories of joyous times shared with him. His kindness, sense of humour, loyalty and deep sense of integrity always shone out. You will be missed Stephen and my thoughts and love are with the many people who loved him too.
Steve, you were a true friend to me and I have great love and respect for both you and Lynn. Julie and I promise we’ll look after Lynn as best we can, but we cant promise to improve her driving! We will miss you.
