I remember Sue with great affection. I worked with her at Swanage Hospital between 1985 and 1988 , on night duties and in the minor injuries department which was a very small sideroom back then !
She was always such fun and so busy, bustling around the wards or holding court in the office! She was an amazing person and will be much missed .
My thoughts are with her family who rightly adored her.
We had the privilege and pleasure of working with and being mentored by Sister Sue at Swanage Minor Injuries Unit. She was greatly admired by myself and my husband Steve who was a local GP. She will be sadly missed.
Such a lovely lady with the best sense of humour ever!
What an absolute privilege to have had Susie Whitton in our lives for so many years. Our families grew up together in Trowbridge with Sue and my Mum Shirley working together at the old ‘chest hospital’ in Winsley, Wiltshire. Sue exuded warmth and love and we will miss her very much. Her sense of humour was legendary but most of all she was the kindest of women.
Dear Sue
Words aren’t really adequate, I can only add to the many tributes. She will be sorely missed. As well as working in the hospital I will remember fondly our many jaunts together at home and abroad and endless laughs. Thanks for the memories and friendship.
Love to Dave and the family, you were so dear to her Tina xxx
In memory of a wonderful soul.
Sending love & blessings to dear Sue with much love & condolences to David & family.
Thank you for welcoming us to Swanage & for all the great care always shared.
Love, Lynn & Iain. Xx
Sue, What can we say that hasn’t already been said other than, ditto, ditto and ditto!1 I will miss it when I delivery our greengages and Bramley apples to the see the obvious delight and twinkle in your eyes… you always chose one of the best of the crop, caressed it, took a deep breath and inhaled the flavour/scent of it, then smiled and declared, “what a delicious scrumptious apple”, knowing that now the hard work begins to make all those delicious jams, chutneys and puddings with Mary. We wished we had known you all our lives but at least we had the pleasure of knowing you. We send our sincere condolences to Dave and all the family with much love xx
I only knew Sue for the last seven or so years connected with the Friends of Swanage Hospital.
Sue had a wonderful sense of humour.
It was evident from my first meeting , that everyone held Sue in total respect and quite rightly so.
Remembering a truly amazing and remarkably kind lady who devoted her entire life to helping others. Always there when need, a beacon of light with such a a fantastic and rather wicked sense of humour. Sue we love you and will miss you greatly but thanks for all you did for others during your stay on earth.
Such a wonderful lady and we are going to miss all the fun we have had together, bye my lovely xx
Remembering Sue as a wonderful, giving, caring, fun loving friend and colleague.
She lived a brilliant full life and will be greatly missed.
Love to all of her family
