What fun we had, I’ll miss you.
Sue – gentle and focussed and found her passion as a doctor with a lovely life in America with Andy
We had fun times in Swanage – particularly at new year!
I will remember Sue with great fondness
And smile x
Vicki & I are so sad that we have lost Sue, my cousin and a much loved and admired friend. We first met her in Swanage and enjoyed great times. Her visits to Australia were many and she came here to do much of her final training to become a doctor. She lived with us in Sydney a number of times and that was great fun. As a keen sailor she took every opportunity to sail with my brother Graham (now passed) from the Cruising Yacht in Sydney Harbour, and she also participated in a Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, something that can be a very harrowing ordeal, but not so for our brave Sue. She also made a special trip out, when my push bike riding 90+ year old father was sick and being written off by the hospital. She took control and pushed for the right tests to be done and he was back at home very quickly and lived happily until almost 97. I think Sue had a love for many things and this included my Dad (Arch), and Australia.
We loved catching up with Sue and meeting her great love Andy, for the first time in Madawaska and hearing from Andy that he was seeing a number of heretical similarities or perhaps idiosyncrasies, between Sue and I, something I think neither of us were aware of.
Although when we were with, or chatting with Andy on Zoom, he was yet to be convinced that visiting Australia was a good thing to do. However, at some stage we hope Andy that you’ll change your mind, and if so you are very welcome to our home in Sydney, and we’d love to see you.
Sue was a lovely, knowledgeable and talented individual, much loved and much missed by us and I’m sure many others. Farewell to our very special Sue…
Vicki & Geoff Day (named after Sue’s Dad), Sydney Australia.
So sorry for your loss Andy x
Sue was one in a million, a very special person.
Stay in touch and look us up the next time you’re in the UK. X
Love Robbie, Elizabeth, Mark, Robert, Tina, David & Charlie xx
