Dear Maria and family, deepest condolences on this tragic loss. Many of his friends will carry a little bit of the burden with you. He was a friend and trusted colleague to a lot of people. I will miss his friendship and guidance.
Tim was a highly valued colleague and friend; his passing is tragic and devastating. Our heartfelt thoughts are with Maria and family at this difficult time.
Deepest sympathy to Maria and family. I had the pleasure of working with Tim for many years, he will be greatly missed by many.
Tim was my boss (several times), my mentor and of course a good friend. He also found a lot of oil and gas. Sara and I send our deepest sympathy to Maria and all the family.
With my thoughts on this saddest of occasions.
A wonderful member of the Shroton Village community, Tim will be missed. Our heart-felt condolences to you and all the family
Tim was someone whom both Lizzie and I liked and respected enormously. Although he was passionate about some issues and expressed his views strongly at times, and took action to follow those views up, despite this he came across as a someone who was able to, and enjoyed, listening and discussing with others. His was the wisdom of practical experience, of having tried things and of sometimes making mistakes along the way, which is the best source of learning. Deeply community-minded, he was a sensitive and sound Chairman of the Parish Council, who listened to others first and then took decisions and action. We will miss him, and his warm sense of humour, enormously, and our heartfelt thoughts are with Maria, Jack and Julia.
Dear Maria and family, deepest condolences on such a tragic loss. Airports and skiing are never going to be the same again. He will be missed, our thoughts are with you at this terrible time.
My deepest condolences to the Sullivan family. I have such fond memories working for Tim i Stavanger.
Deepest condolences on Tim’s passing. I worked with him in his early days at Enterprise Oil. He was a true gentleman and a great team leader. He will be sorely missed.
Miss you Dad. Love you!
Dear Maria and family
I have known Tim for more than 30 years and I have had the pleasure to work closely with him in startup companies since 2003. Tim has been recognised and respected as a successful geoscientist and acted as a guide and mentor for colleagues and business associates, me included. I have always admired Tim for his analytical approach to all kind of challenges, his ability to listen to others and, based on his own opinion and input from others, produce good solutions. I have learned a lot from him, and it’s difficult for me to understand that he has passed away after a tragic accident. We will all miss Tim, and we send our deepest sympathy to Maria and family.
We feel extremely privileged to have known Tim. His warmth, his kindness and sense of humour are the memories we will keep of all the happy times we spent together. A true gentleman. We will miss him.
Lots of love

It was a privilege to have known Tim and we will miss him enormously, especially his dry wit and humorous comments at our Fiddleford pub dinners. A kind and very generous man, his premature passing when he should still have had so many good years ahead of him is so sad and so tragic for Maria and family. Rest in peace Tim.

Dear Mike and family
So sorry for the sudden and sad loss of your dad. Thinking of you at this sad time,
Eileen and team at Google
I am so sorry I can’t be there to celebrate Tim’s fantastic life as I am overseas. Tim was one of my first bosses at Enterprise in the late 80’s and he was always a great motivator and mentor, even many years later after we stopped working together. He was not only a great geologist but a great human being. All my sincere condolences to Maria and the family.
Dear Maria and Family,
We are so very sorry for the sudden and untimely loss of Tim and we send our sincere condolences to all his family.
With love,
Ena and Andrew Rees
My most sincere condolences to Tim’s family and dearest friends. Beyond being a great finder of oil and shrewd business man, for the 20 years of knowing him I always found Tim the most approachable of guys despite his status and generous with his wise counsel.
Dear Mike,
Sending the deepest condolences for your loss, on behalf of the entire Anomaly team.
Our thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.
Dear Maria, my husband and I watched Pointless this evening and remarked how nice some people are after hearing your wish to give any money you won to charity (after having a nice meal out 😀) and your hosting Ukrainian refugees. Unfortunately the topics you had to choose from were horrendous but you had a good go at it! When they showed that Tim had passed away I was shocked and saddened. I found this site on Google so I hope you don’t mind but I would just like to pass on my sympathies to you and your family.
I’ve just heard the deeply saddening and shocking news about Tim. We worked together at both Getty and Enterprise Oil. Tim was my friend, colleague and mentor and taught me a great deal. He was an excellent and highly-respected geologist, kind human being and will be sorely missed by all.
I have very belatedly learned of Tim’s very sad passing. He was my boss at Getty, Saxon and Enterprise during the 80s and I always enjoyed his company and his laid back style. It was always a pleasure to bump into him at conferences and other events. I will remember him as top bloke who also happened to be an excellent and innovative geologist. RIP, Tim.
