His devotion to family and his work ethic were second to none and he was a fantastic role model and grandfather to me and an amazing great-grandfather to my daughter whom idolised him as much a I did and still do. We will continue to make him proud and keep our memories of him in our conversations and hearts forever. Thank you grandad for making me the man I am today. Stand easy Staff Sgt Buffery.

  20. My wonderful Grandad, the greatest man I know.

How lucky I am to have had you in my life. You have been my biggest supporter, role model and best friend. There is not a moment that has gone by where I haven’t thought of you.

I miss everything about you and still pick up my phone to call you everyday since you left us. I feel so lost without you but I am so grateful for every moment we have had together. From referring my football matches, to our caravan holidays as kids and seeing your proud face at my passing out. These are all memories that I will treasure always.

Your motto was always that you just have to “Get on with it” but this one is so hard. Everything I do is and has been to make you proud. I will ‘Get on with it’ just like you would want, but know I will spend my life missing you. I love you Grandad, finally you can rest. Your Supergirl ❤️

I know that so many other people would agree that you Tony are a wonderful man. You should be so proud of everything you have achieved in your incredible lifetime. There is a void in my heart, not talking to you everyday is so difficult, I really do miss you!
