Anthony 'Tony' House
Tony passed away peacefully on 9 August 2024 aged 83 at Oakdale Care Home, Poole. Much loved Dad of Jo and Kathy, Grandad to Hank, Father-in-Law to Gareth and Harry, Brother-in-Law to Anne and Rob and Uncle to Mark.
Retired Dorset Police Superintendent and husband of 47 years to the late Jackie, who died in 2018. A good friend, neighbour and confidant to many, a keen freshwater fisherman and fond of all creatures great and small. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dear Joe, Kathy and family,
Tony had been a wonderful neighbour for nearly 40 years. I remember one summer when he saw my late husband trying to cut down the silver birch tree in our front garden, he just came over and helped. That afternoon has stayed with me all these years, reflecting the kindness that Tony had for everyone he came across, whether they were friends, family, or someone who happened to need help.
We’ll surely miss him, his sharp detective mind, and his lovely smile.
